IIUM is a public university established in Malaysia in 1983.

As of December 31, 2018, it has 14 faculties, 3 institutes, 2 centers and 2000 academic staff. An MoU agreement was signed with the University on 30 November 2023 to cooperate in the fields of joint education and capacity building programs.
