A delegation from the Central Bank of Egypt visited the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB) as part of a field study program jointly organized by the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) and the Banks Association of Türkiye (TBB), focusing on Türkiye’s financial landscape.

During the visit to TKBB, a comprehensive presentation was delivered on the general market outlook of the participation banking sector in Türkiye, covering the sector’s institutional framework, regulatory environment, and its growing role within the Turkish financial system. The program also included in-depth discussions and a mutual exchange of views.

Within the scope of the same program, the delegation paid a visit to Ziraat Katılım to gain further insight into SME banking practices. During this visit, detailed presentations were made on SME-focused banking models, credit assessment methodologies, and financing processes.

The visit contributed to enhancing institutional dialogue and cooperation between Turkish and Egyptian financial institutions and supported the sharing of knowledge and experience in the fields of participation banking and SME finance.
