Finance Office of Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye (CBFO), Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB) and Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB), international standard-setting body of regulatory and supervisory agencies  jointly organized a workshop hosted by TKBB on November 18, 2024 on strengthening the strategic ties between Türkiye and the IFSB in the Islamic finance sector. The program was held with the participation of TKBB member banks and sector representatives who are experts in their fields. The opening speeches of the workshop were delivered by Fatma Çınar, Deputy Secretary General of TKBB, and Dr. Ghiath Shabsigh, Secretary General of IFSB.

The workshop included discussions on the role of the IFSB and the standard development process, climate-related financial risks and sustainability efforts, as well as liquidity risk management tools and models in line with the principles of participation finance.
