The second Islamic Banking and Finance Training Program was organized within the scope of the activities of the Council of Banks Associations of the Turkic States (CBATS).
10 finance and banking professionals from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) and Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the one-week training organized in Istanbul, hosted by the Banks Association of Türkiye (TBB) and the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB).
Classroom trainings and bank visits were organized to enhance participants’ theoretical and practical knowledge in Islamic banking and finance. The program covered a wide range of topics, including participation banking in Türkiye and globally, Islamic financial institutions, Islamic financial contracts, capital market products in participation banking, as well as fund collection and utilization products and services.
Established in 2022 with the participation of banking associations from Turkic states, the Council aims to enhance cooperation among its member institutions. It serves as a platform to address the needs of bankers and business communities, foster the development of the regional banking sector, generate positive outcomes for the real economy, and contribute to national economic growth. The Council also facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience by discussing sectoral challenges and solutions.
The members of the Council include banking associations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
