Webinar titled ‘Short-Term (Hybrid) and Green Sukuk in Practice: Türkiye–Pakistan Market Perspectives’.

With support from Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance, Meezan Bank in collaboration with the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB), successfully hosted a webinar titled ‘Short-Term (Hybrid) and Green Sukuk in Practice: Türkiye–Pakistan Market Perspectives’.


The webinar brought together distinguished industry experts from Pakistan and Türkiye to exchange insights and practical experiences on the evolving Sukuk landscape. The discussion covered short-term and hybrid Sukuk structures, Green Sukuk, Shariah compliance, liquidity management and public debt management, highlighting key developments and market practices across both countries.


Moderated by Ms. Fatma Çınar - Deputy Secretary General, TKBB, the session featured Mr. Muhammad Khaliq Uz Zaman - Director, Domestic Debt Management Office, Ministry of Finance, Pakistan and Mr. Shayan Ahmed Baig - Head Shariah Compliance, Meezan Bank, who shared insights from Pakistan’s Sukuk market and their respective areas of expertise.


Representing Türkiye, Ms. Esma Karabulut - Assistant General Manager, DK Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. and Mr. Ahmet Cem Çakır - Head of Asset and Liability Management, Vakıf Katılım Bankası A.Ş., shared their perspectives and practical market experience.
